- Book Review : The Captive ~Psychological Thriller by Lavanya Nukavarapu
The Captive is a gripping story about a girl Kruthi. The title is really intriguing, but I was thrilled as I read the Prologue. The girl is kept in captive, and as I read, i could feel the pain that the girl must have gone through. It really gave me goosebumps. As Kruthi killed her captor, I was amazed at her willpower to live on. She ran away for her life. Each chapter has kept me on my toes. Dhananjay being a good cop and a friend as well, while Madhuri is really adamant to catch the culprits. The way she handled everything has amazed me. She didn’t even spared her own husband when she found him connected to Kruthi’s case. What I really liked about this book is that the first section is about the present times when Kruthi escaped her abductors, second section is all about the past of the men, Anthony and Birju. I was really thrilled to know their dark past. While, the third section is all about catching the Boss. The arrest of Aryaveer broke my heart as I found him really sweet. Though the ending is as expected.. Truly, the title of the story is justified. The mind is the real captor of a human soul.. An amazing read! - Giran ~Priceless Memories by Sahil Miglani
A great work by the author. The collection of Poems in this book “Giran ~Priceless Memories” truly justifies the title of the book. Poetry is an exquisite form to convey the deepest feelings that reside in the heart of the poet or the reader as well. The phases, and the different aspects of life are explained so simply in this poetry book. I am in awe with the writing skills of the writer. You have explained everything so simply, be it about Love, heartbreak, family or any other thing that we are missing today in our life. - Book Review : Wild Card 3 by Asfiya Rahman
Wild Card 3 is an eye opener to all the people struggling in their life. I’ve absolutely loved the first two books, and the third book, is really inspirational. I really loved Roshni’s spirit. The little girl, who coaxed her father to go for Wimbledon, has now grown up into a beautiful woman. I am amazed by the will power and passion that Roshni has. Really mesmerized by Roshni’s personality. Her trifle with her father, hiding the tennis secret, all seemed phenomenal. Maybe, this is what anyone could have done. Karan’s insecurity and the feeling that his daughter is drifting apart, is understandable. It really touched my heart. The kind of support Karan showed to Roshni is commendable. We all need such a person in our lives who supports us, no matter how weird our goals are. Roshni is lucky to have Karan. His experience is of utmost importance to Roshni, and his tries to help Roshni go into Wimbledon, is a dream come true for himself. He not only helped his daughter, but also lived his dream through her. Roshni’s passion and willpower to win the game at the Wimbledon, is what kept me at my toes. Karan’s heartwarming smile when Roshni won the game, is priceless. It’s a precious reward, that a daughter can get from her father. A beautiful journey this has been. “Never say Never” is what everyone should keep in mind. Because your your passion, hard work and luck, can help you achieve your goals. Amazingly written! - Book Review – The Dragnet by Bhaskar Kathuria
The Dragnet begins on an intriguing note. It’s all about Alexis’s story, who is a womaniser. He’s a book store owner. I loved the way how things & events are described in the book. His meeting with the unknown yet familiar girl is mysterious. He reaches to her place and meets her grandma. Their discussion about books is intriguing. The description depicted in the book is beautiful. The emotions, scenery is beautifully depicted and the story goes on a very minimal and slow pace. Though, no breaks makes it a little difficult to understand, yet it’s a beautiful read. Good job, author. Buy link : https://www.amazon.in/dp/1543704247/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_i_KXPqFb07F3F8S
- Book Review : Maybe Love; Maybe Not… A commonly uncommon love story and Writeups
The book began with the story of Preetam and Sneha which touched my heart. I was very intrigued with the story line. Preetam is a kind of guy whom every girl would like to date. On the other hand, Sneha is like any other ordinary girl. They met for work purposes but became friends in no time. That’s true friendship. Preetam is sweet, I loved his gesture when he dropped Sneha to the bus stop and also his patience. He has been so decent and calm with Sneha. The middle class home, and the thoughts of Sneha’s parents seemed relevant. But at the same time, I felt Preetam is right choice for Sneha. Yeah! The love at first sight is difficult to see and to be convinced of,but it seemed genuine in Preetam’s case. I felt bad for Preetam when sneha denied his proposal. They should have discussed it together. Running away wasn’t a solution. Sneha should have respected her feelings, when she herself held the same feelings for him. Though, she realised it very late, only when her parents coaxed her to marry some other guy, than only she realised her love for Preetam. Another thing that fascinated me are small snippets that are highlighted between the stories. I’ll call them the quotes or snippets of feelings that both the characters went through. A simple story in a simple language, it is beautifully written. The second part of the book is collection of one liners and poems that made me smile. There are many beautiful one liners and poems collected in this book. The one liners strike hard on the heart. A beautiful compilation of mini tales and Musings, that we go through everyday. A job really well done ❤️ a light hearted and beautiful read.
- Book Review – Etchings of the First Quarter of 2020 by Sabarna Roy
The title of the Story is intriguing. As of this very year, we all are suffering a lot, and so the etchings of this year, 2020, are quite hurtful. So, this book has been a soothing touch to the readers’ heart. “Etchings of the first quarter of 2020” is a well written book. Firstly, what fascinated me is that the first two parts are in the letter format. Letters are written to express your thoughts, your feelings over something, that is liked by the other one. It’s like sharing views over one thing. The way the letters are written express the care, the affection of one person to the other. The third part of the book is a casual conversation between father and daughter and, it seems like a usual conversation. It is filled with love, care, affection and also a lot information and facts. The writing style of the author makes it easier to understand and read. The ideologies and thoughts of two people are clearly explained and that is the beauty of this book. The last part, or I must say that it looked more like the diary entries that a person does at the end of the day. The daily routine or the happenings around a person, the feelings of hurt, agony, pain, happiness are beautifully structured in the poetic format and is served to the readers. Individual point of view of the author has helped the readers to connect to the author and the emotions directly touch the heart. A very impressive and heart touching read.. ❤️ Kudos to the author. Keep writing, Dear Author!

My Wish For Our Love If only wishes can come true, I have one or two or maybe a few, And they’re all about you, All for your well-being and life. - Book Review : Dolly Won’t Play by Monisha K. Gumber
“DOLLY WON’T PLAY” focuses on child abuse and sexual abuse. Usually, people make it a game, as portrayed in the book. That’s ridiculous, but if the child isn’t aware, it’s bad for them. This needs to be stopped. I am glad that the author took the challenge and wrote so nicely on this sensitive topic. I was in horror when I realised that the little girl isn’t understanding the difference. For her, it was all love, but at the same time, It wasn’t love. The little Girl “DOLLY” is quite relatable. Every child is shy and then friendly to the people who open up. The book has all the emotions, the pain, the anger crafted so gracefully. While reading, the reader can feel all of the emotions that Dolly was feeling therein. Uncle Uday got his own punishment for the bads he did with Dolly. I loved the way how the author portrayed everything serially, into four parts of the book. The first part of how Uday used to abuse her and it was a little game with her uncle uday. Second part, how she was proved sick, but her mother never left hope. Mothers need to be cheered for this. No matter how hard the situation is, a mom never loses her hope, she always tries to lift her child a little higher. The third part begins when she is a teenager, when she could feel some wrongs were done to her and she finally realised it. And so forth, the healing. Any illness can be cured with love. It’s rightly said by the author “we cannot heal in a quick second, but we need to start the healing anyway.” Thank you to the author for writing on such a sensitive topic and it does touch the reader’s heart. Well done!
- Book Review – The Elephant Girl by Chitta Ranjan
The story begins with an interesting note when the young Prince, Raj is approached by a british officer, Jenkins in an art gallery in Calcutta. He’s invited to visit Kachugaon, the forests in North East India. The prince is delighted to meet him, as he always wanted to visit the forests of Kachugaon. He loved wildlife as a child and he’s being invited for the same. But he refuses, after all he has an empire to manage. Raj is left surprised when Jenkins visits him in his palace and gifts him an authentic gift. Later on, Raj decides to take a trip to Kachugaon. The imagery is beautiful as depicted in the book. Raj wanted to explore the wildlife while he felt the people around him to be reserved and scared. He also learnt about a girl who heads a troop of elephants. They say its hard to catch the animals because of this unknown girl. A mysterious and interesting read overall. Buy link:- https://www.amazon.in/dp/9352019245/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_i_zLNBEbZY380E6
