The book WILDCARD 2, authored by Asfiya Rahman, is another tale of hardwork, trust and hope.

Tahira Rizvi, an avid tennis player, who helped Karan, live his dream of going into Wimbledon, was still dreaming about a career in Tennis. Going into the Wimbledon along with Karan, was a dream come true for her. She had found a friend in Vikram and a little friend in Roshni. Things pulled apart, when after returning from the Wimbledon, her parents asked her to quit tennis. She was shocked. Her parents asked her to quit what she loved. She was broken, yet she convinced them to let her give one chance.

Karan Mehrotra, a tennis champion, was all on toes for his daughter, Roshni. He was astonished when Tahira asked him to be her coach and wanted to practice with him. He was elated for what she had done for him, for getting the Wimbledon title, and so he agreed.

Here begins a journey, that of, hardwork, trust, and hope, that there hardwork would materialize. Tahira did her best and she couldn’t have a bettet coach than Karan. But, her hopes died, when she lost a simple tournament that led her to quit tennis. Karan wanted her to continue, but he could not force her. But things changed when Karan was invited to play for a hospital and tahira agreed to help him.

As a matter of fact, the card turned around when karan was invited for wimbledon as he was last year champion. A light paved his path and he planned to get tahira a wild card. Luck being on their side, they got the wild card, and tahira was happy. She wanted to showcase her talent and wanted to make Karan proud.

All the ups and downs, karan and tahira faced, are beautifully described in the book. The emotions were well written and felt. Felt connected with the character of Tahira

A must read for everyone. 🙂
