All men are worshippers is an interesting and unique read. It's the debut story of the author, Dinesh Prasad, and it is very intriguing.
The title of the book kept me hooked until the very end. When I started reading this book, I was in awe that this book is being directed through the main protagonist of the book. The whole book consists of bits and stories that Mahesh is telling to Frieda. This is a different kind of storytelling and I am loving this.
Frieda is a character with whom I could connect soul-ly. As set in 1917, it's apt with the storyline. Frieda's mother is for no good as she didn't care for her. I could feel the pain that Frieda went through.
Frieda's life is nothing but filled with silence and pain ever since she was born. When she had started liking DC, I hoped that her life would change. But, the worse happened. I loved her spirit of embracing everything. She even accepted her wedding with Alfie, because her mom wanted it to happen.
All the scenarios in the story, Frieda's relationship with everyone, her bonding with Badi Bai and Sheila aunty is surreal. Well, she didn't love her husband but she cared for him,and Ioved it.
Mahesh seems like an ardent lover to Frieda, narrating the stories to her. He loves her truly and so, he's there beside her, holding hands and reminiscing her own past.
All men are worshippers is a rollercoaster of emotions. You could feel pain, love, respect, and every little things that one needs to have to live the life.
Kudos to the author to be able to connect to the readers. It is one breezy and soul-connecting read.
